List Your Company

Homeowners across Colorado come to Love Electric to learn about heat pumps and home electrification. By joining the LoveElectric Qualified Contractor List, you can demonstrate that you are a skilled heat pump installer. Homeowners use the list to find the best heat pump installers working in their county.

It is free to join the list and there is no yearly fee to stay on the list. You simply must demonstrate that you meet all the requirements listed below.

Criteria for Qualified HVAC Heat Pump Installer List

Pathways to get listed as a Qualified HVAC Heat Pump Installer (choose one):
  • One employee of the company passes BEL-CO’s new online heat pump assessment (click here to enroll in course and take the assessment) AND completes an in-person heat pump class through a distributor, equipment manufacturer, or Colorado utility within 6 months (proof of completion of a qualifying in-person heat pump class within the last 12 months will also be accepted)
  • One employee of the company provides evidence of current certification or credential of one of the following:
  • The HVAC company is currently listed as a qualified contractor for ducted heat pump rebates by Xcel Energy or Efficiency Works/PRPA, and is in good standing.
Annual requirements for listing renewal (must meet all)
  • Receive a rebate or “quality installation” (QI) bonus for at least one ducted heat pump project per year.
  • Employees attend at least one HVAC heat pump training each year, provided by one of the following:
    • a) HVAC equipment distributor or manufacturer,
    • b) Colorado utility,
    • c) DOE energy skilled courses,
    • d) Energy Efficiency Business Coalition (EEBC), or
    • e) BEL-CO webinars
  • Annually, self-attest that the employee that passed the BEL-CO test or had the credential above (e.g. NATE cert.) is still employed at the company. Otherwise, the company must have another employee pass the test or show credentials to stay on the list.

Criteria for Qualified HPWH Installer List

Pathways to get listed as a Qualified HPWH Installer (must meet all):
  • Proof of attendance at one HPWH training in the past 12 months, training must have been provided by one of the following:
    1. HPWH equipment distributor or manufacturer
    2. Colorado utility
    3. DOE Energy Skilled courses
    4. Energy Efficiency Business Coalition (EEBC)
    5. BEL-CO webinar
  • Proof of installing at least 5 residential HPWHs in Colorado in the past 12 months
Annual requirements for listing renewal:
  • Proof of installing at least 5 residential HPWHs in Colorado in the past 12 months
