Colorado Utility On-Bill Financing Programs

Efficiency Works (PRPA member utilities)
PRPA owner community utilities each provide one or two options to residential customers for low-interest loans to finance home efficiency and/or electrification upgrades.
La Plata Electric Association (LPEA)
LPEA offers on-bill financing for solar or energy efficiency or electrification upgrades through a local bank. With no up-front costs, the loan is repaid through customers’ monthly electric bills, with a low-cost, fixed interest rate.
San Isabel Electric
San Isabel offers on-bill financing with low-interest rates, for home efficiency and electrification upgrades, or solar systems.

Tri-State’s Electrify & Save Program; offered by 6 Tri-State member co-ops*

This program offers on-bill financing for air-source heat pumps, air sealing and insulation, and other measures listed here.

Statewide Loan Program

The Colorado Residential Energy Upgrade (RENU) Loan is a statewide residential loan program sponsored by the Collective Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) in partnership with Colorado-based credit unions. It makes home energy upgrades easy and affordable by offering low-cost, long-term financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements. Loans are offered at low, fixed interest rates. The loans require no money down and customers can finance up to 100% of the project cost up to $75,000 over a term of 3 to 15 years, or 20 years for solar PV systems.
