The Beneficial Electrification League of Colorado (BEL-CO) is inviting utilities, local governments, new home builders, heat pump distributors, and other stakeholders to share insights and help us build momentum in electrifying Colorado’s single- and multi-family homes.
Discussions will include: 1) state policy updates and new federal funding to drive more building electrification, 2) opportunities/challenges in building more efficient and electric new homes.
On Saturday, October 15th, the Colorado Green Building Guild is hosting a day of workshops and exhibitions in Superior, Colorado. You can learn more about the event here. This event is mainly focused on rebuilding from the Marshal Fire, but the information and resources could also apply to building high performing homes anywhere in the state.
These webinars are sponsored by the Walking Mountains Science Center, Holy Cross Energy, BEL-CO, Energy Smart Colorado, Community Office for Resource Efficiency (CORE), Garfield Clean Energy (CLEER), and High Country Conservation Center.
These two webinars are free, one-hour webinars, from 5:00 – 6:00 PM.
These webinars target a) homes with radiant heating systems and b) homes with propane or gas furnaces. Heat pumps offer cooling during summer months, while reducing consumption of fuel for heating during cooler months, lowering your home’s carbon footprint, and reducing heating costs in most cases.
